Weiland Dominates New Haven
Tuesday, September 11th , 2001
Bob Weiland kept the New Haven Ravens hitters from doing much damage at Speedsters Field.
New Haven could only muster 4 hits and draw 2 walks against the left-handed Weiland, who controlled them throughout the game. Lansing won the contest, 1-0. Weiland added 6 strikeouts in his complete-game effort.
"I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Weiland told reporters after the shutout win. "But whatever it was, I hope it happens again next time."
This year, Weiland has posted a record of 7 wins and 1 loss with a 1.77 ERA. He has appeared in 14 games and struck out 70 in 86.1 innings.
