SL2 Names Top Player of the Week Monday, September 10th , 2001 Raleigh fans have something to crow about today as Raleigh first baseman Ryon Healy nabbed the Sub League 2 Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Healy. He posted a .429 average (12-for-28) this past week with 3 home runs, 6 RBIs, and 5 runs scored. Currently Healy is batting .270 with 19 home runs, 80 RBIs and 58 runs scored. |
