Kattegat Shuts Out Garland, 9-0
Friday, August 31st , 2001
Goose eggs were the order of the day for the Garland Americans as starter Bob Miller shut them out, 9-0, at Devils Park. The Kattegat pitcher struck out 8 and walked 3 while allowing 3 hits.
"Miller was good but he wasn't flawless," Garland manager said. "We had a few opportunities to make something happen and we didn't do it. Not to take anything away from Kattegat, but this is on us."
For the season to date, Miller has no saves in no relief appearances with a 11-10 record and 3.48 ERA.
