New Haven Shut Out, 8-0, By Express, Gonzalez Saturday, August 25th , 2001 Severino Gonzalez was dynamite at Speedsters Field, blowing away the New Haven Ravens in a shutout victory. The Madison Express starter had everything working as he held the Ravens to 5 hits in the 8-0 win. "He was pure nasty out there today," said New Haven skipper . "I don't think any team in the league would've had a chance against what he was bringing." Gonzalez finished the game with 8 strikeouts and no walks. To date this year, Gonzalez has compiled a 3-2 mark with a 2.14 ERA in 2 starts. |
