Snyder Booms 3 out of the Park Friday, August 24th , 2001 Some days you can't have it all, as Kattegat Val'kyr second baseman Cory Snyder discovered when he cracked three homers against the Mt. Arlington Bulldozers, and still lost. "I have mixed emotions about this game," he said. "It's great to hit three homers, but it's hard to be happy when you lose the game." The 35-year-old got his name in the league record books, but the Bulldozers walked away with the triumph, 9-8, at Bulldozers Grounds. Snyder finished the day with 4 hits in 5 at-bats and 5 RBIs. "I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them," he said in the postgame interview. Cory Snyder hit a three-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, flied out in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 9th. For the year, Snyder is hitting .294 with 28 home runs. His stats include 85 RBI and 75 runs scored. |
