Millwood Silences Raleigh, 3-0 Tuesday, August 21st , 2001 The Raleigh Sox met their match today in Chesterfield hurler Kevin Millwood. He kept them guessing the whole game and spun a 1-hit shutout. "He just worked us over," Raleigh skipper said. "He probably didn't even need a shower after the game -- he barely worked up a sweat." In the 3-0 victory, Millwood whiffed 11 and gave up 2 walks. In 26 starts this season, Millwood has registered a 18-2 record and a 1.72 ERA. |
