Abercrombie on Fire, 5-for-6 Against Glendale
Thursday, August 16th , 2001
It takes more than one player to win a baseball game - as proven by Reggie Abercrombie of the Henderson Arrows.

The Henderson center fielder gave it his all and dominated Glendale Herons pitching at Arrows Field, finishing with a great 5-for-6 line. However, when the game ended, the scoreboard showed the Herons going home the winner, 7-5.

"There's no point gloating about a 5-hit day in a loss," Abercrombie said. "A loss just means you should have done more. Maybe I should have hit 5 home runs instead."

Reggie Abercrombie singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Roger Pavlik in the 8th and struck out in the 9th.

So far this year, Abercrombie is hitting .272 with 8 home runs.
