Hits Galore: Snyder Drills 5 Hits Sunday, August 12th , 2001 No matter what the Henderson Arrows threw at him, Cory Snyder hit it. He easily handled Arrows pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Val'kyr triumph, 10-4, at Devils Park. "The way I was swinging, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview. Told of Snyder's quip, Arrows skipper said he "would take him up on that next time." Cory Snyder hit a three-run home run off Bill Kirk in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Looking at his season stats, Snyder has compiled a .288 batting average and a .394 on-base percentage, while hitting 22 home runs and driving in 71 runs. |
