SL2's Best Player, Berra of Reno Monday, August 6th , 2001 Not every ball that came off Yogi Berra's bat last week was a line drive or a towering shot -- it just seemed that way to the teams that played the Reno Aces. For his exploits, Berra was named this week's Sub League 2 Player of the Week award. The Reno catcher put up 12 hits in 25 at-bats and 3 home runs while hitting .480 with 7 RBIs and 3 runs scored. Currently Berra is hitting .292 and has collected 13 home runs, 48 RBIs and scored 40 times, while playing in 105 games. |
