Peralta Dominates Oklahoma City
Tuesday, July 31st , 2001
The Oklahoma City Dodgers manager was philosophical in the clubhouse following a shutout loss to the Honolulu Pioneers. The Dodgers were overpowered by Honolulu starter Freddy Peralta, who hurled his club to victory, 10-0.

"It was just one of those games -- shake it off and do better next time," said.

Over 9 innings, Peralta blanked Oklahoma City on 3 hits with 1 walk and 5 strikeouts.

"I kept them off balance. I could tell a lot of them were late on fastballs because they were fouling them off. Once you see that, it sets them up for other pitches," Peralta said.

"I set them up, where if they chased one breaking ball, they were going to chase another one."

This season, Peralta is 13-and-5 with no saves and a 3.72 ERA. He has given up 129 hits in 145 innings with 132 strikeouts.
