Tulsa Stymied by Leary Sunday, July 29th , 2001 Tim Leary of the New Haven Ravens toyed with the Tulsa Swordfish, as he shut them out, 4-0, at Speedsters Field. He was almost untouchable, twirling a 5-hitter with 7 strikeouts and 2 walks. "I'm sweating now because it's hot in here," Leary said in the clubhouse after the game. "But it didn't even feel like I was sweating out there." Leary has made 24 starts so far this year and put up a 8-5 won-lost record with a 3.24 ERA. In 144.1 innings he has allowed 146 hits, walked 60 and struck out 124. |
