RP Alcantara Reaches Agreement with Cubs Friday, December 21st , 2001 The Chicago (N) Cubs have called a press conference later today to announce the signing of reliever Victor Alcantara to a 1-year, $1,900,000 contract. Both Alcantara and the Cubs are said to be very pleased to come to this agreement. Thus far in his career, Alcantara has 40 saves with a 31-19 record and a 3.43 ERA. |
