Adam LaRoche Named NL's Best Player

The future looks extremely bright for Adam LaRoche. At the age of 26, many players are still trying to find their way in Fellowship of Respect and Trust.

LaRoche has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the National League Most Valuable Player Award.

"I didn't expect to hit .362 this year, that's for sure," the first baseman said.

The Montreal Expos star also put up a .411 on-base percentage this year, with 220 hits, 47 doubles, 2 triples, 45 home runs, 123 RBIs and 116 runs scored.

He received 1 first place votes out of a possible 2. Frank Robinson of the New York (N) Mets finished second in voting with 1 first place vote, while Mike Schmidt of the New York (N) Mets finished third.
