The Chicago (A) White Sox have a rising superstar or maybe even a budding Hall-of-Famer in the making. It's Nathan Eovaldi, this year's American League Cy Young Award selection. This blossoming hurler wowed fans, peers and sportswriters with a fabulous performance.
Eovaldi compiled a 19-6 record in 35 starts, tallied 177 strikeouts in 230.1 innings and recorded a 3.16 ERA. Other clubs managed only a .241 batting average against him.
He ended up tied with Logan Gilbert with 11 total votes and 1 first place votes.
