Harper's Condition Worse, Suffers Another Setback Wednesday, October 24th , 2001 Chicago (A) received another blow today when doctors revealed that White Sox right fielder Bryce Harper had suffered a setback in his recovery and will miss additional time because of a fractured hand. Harper has been nearing his projected return date, but now that will be pushed back 5 weeks. In 90 games this season, Harper has compiled a .360 batting average with 111 hits and 15 home runs. He has also scored 75 times and knocked in 79 runs. |
