RF Hernández Opts for Extension Sunday, October 7th , 2001 Team officials were upbeat today as Enrique Hernández signed an extension with the Red Sox. He'll be calling Boston home for the next 6 years and will earn $35,300,000 in salary by the end of the contract. The Red Sox GM said, "We're excited to know he'll be part of this team going forward. This is a good day for him, and we believe it makes the future for us better." This season, Hernández is hitting .450 with 2 home runs. |
