Bass of Texas Crowned Best Player Monday, September 17th , 2001 What's in a number? In baseball, just about everything. The numbers that Texas's Kevin Bass put up last week were the envy of the league, as Bass came away with American League Player of the Week honors. He belted out 11 hits in 23 at-bats, 3 home runs and 7 RBIs last week as he posted his .478 batting average. Currently Bass is batting .271 with 17 home runs and 59 RBIs. |
