Rehab Setback for Mike Lowell Tuesday, September 11th , 2001 Mike Lowell, third baseman for the St. Louis Cardinals, was making great progress in healing a strained hamstring according to a team spokesman, but suffered a setback yesterday. "Mike was doing great in his rehab until he overdid it in a recent workout. Now doctors say it will be at least 3 weeks before he will be able to rejoin the club." Lowell has collected 112 hits for the Cardinals this year, 12 of them home runs. He has also netted 62 RBIs and scored 47 runs while batting .304. |
