No Playoff Berth Coming for Milwaukee Monday, September 10th , 2001 Even the most glass-half-full fans have likely already given up on the 2001 season for the Milwaukee Brewers. The team clinched a rough year today, being mathematically eliminated from postseason contention. Before this season, the Brewers last missed the playoffs in 1997. In the 22 years they have been a Fellowship of Respect and Trust franchise, they have made the playoffs 15 times. In the last 10 seasons, the Brewers have only missed the playoffs once. Milwaukee last won the World Series in 1992. |
