Williams Hits in 25 Consecutive Games

The Texas Rangers stopped the San Francisco Giants, 12-8, and Billy Williams collected a base hit yet again. The Texas left fielder finished with 3 hits to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 25.
"I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited Williams told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Billy Williams singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th, singled in the 9th and singled in the 11th.
In his season totals, Williams has 35 home runs, .347 BA, .396 OBP, 102 RBIs and 79 runs scored. He has played in 112 games.
