Diamondbacks Win with Late Heroics
|
Houston catcher Brayan Pena was sensational. He went 5 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 3 singles, while scoring 3 times. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Arizona beat the Astros, 5-4, in 10 innings. The Diamondbacks raised their record to 55-44.
The Diamondbacks got a clutch hit from left fielder Jim Marshall. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Diamondbacks.
"What a buzz," said Marshall after it was over.
