Late Heroics Net Twins 3-2 Win
|
The Minnesota Twins did just enough to secure a victory over the Miami Marlins, 3-2, in 10 innings at Metropolitan Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Vern Law. With the win, the Twins hiked their record to 51-48.
The Twins got a clutch hit from catcher Jonah Heim. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Twins.
"It's a thrill to get that kind of win," Law said.
