Philadelphia Wins, 3-2, Over Tigers
|
In a tight contest between the Philadelphia Phillies and the Detroit Tigers, Chris Archer was the determining factor. The Philadelphia right-hander sparkled in his team's 3-2 win. With the win, the Phillies sit at 50-46.
Philadelphia used the timely hitting of Willy Aybar to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Phillies on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"That was fun, that was just good baseball," said Aybar.
