Cardinals Earn 4-3 Win Versus Brewers
|
The Milwaukee Brewers could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Homer Bailey into a win. Instead, the St. Louis Cardinals prevailed, 4-3. Bailey threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball. St. Louis is now 37-59. Milwaukee is 37-57.
The Cardinals got a clutch hit from catcher Jake Early. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Cardinals.
St. Louis manager David Mandel called it "a good, solid win."
