Drysdale Shuts Out Miami
In a seemingly effortless performance, Don Drysdale of the New York (N) Mets shot down the Miami Marlins, 5-0, on 4 hits.

"Don was just locating so well and using his pitches," New York (N) manager Jamie Dagostini said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate."

Drysdale recorded 9 strikeouts and 3 walks in a strong outing.

"When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," Miami manager Bobby K said in postgame comments to BNN. "We couldn't get a key hit off him."
