Williams Slugs Rangers to 9-3 Win
|
The Texas Rangers finished off the Baltimore Orioles, 9-3. Much of the credit belonged to left fielder Billy Williams. Williams hit 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for the Rangers. The Rangers raised their record to 31-46.
Early in the game, Williams had a 3-run home run for Texas. It was his 18th home run of the season and put the Rangers on top, 3-0.
"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Williams.
