At Stade Olympique, the Montreal Expos and Chicago (A) White Sox were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
The Chicago (A) White Sox used the hitting of right fielder Bryce Harper to subdue the Montreal Expos, 8-4. For the game, Harper went 1 for 2 with a home run and 3 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Nathan Eovaldi got credit for the win, improving to 10-1. He allowed 3 runs on 7 hits in 7.2 innings. Harper had an important at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the seventh, when he drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The White Sox went on to win.
Said Montreal manager Marwan Najdawi: "They did a lot of things right. We did a lot of things wrong."
