Yankees Rally Late to Clip Philadelphia
|
Philadelphia got a decent performance from pitcher Tommy Boggs, but it wasn't enough to beat the New York (A) Yankees. New York (A) won the Yankee Stadium contest, 4-3. Boggs threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. Yorman Bazardo picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Tyler Danish suffered the loss. With the victory, the Yankees upped their record to 38-33.
The decisive blow was delivered by Ben Francisco in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 25-year old right-handed pitcher Tyler Danish to win the game for New York (A). The home crowd went nuts.
"It's nice to step up when your team needs you," said Francisco.
