Texas Nets 6-5 Win Versus Astros
|
The Texas Rangers got a hard-earned win over the Houston Astros, 6-5, in 10 innings. Charlie O'Brien provided some offensive muscle for Texas. He was 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Mark Leiter Jr., now 2-3, was credited with the win in 2.1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 1 and walking 0. Texas is now 28-40.
Billy Williams came through with a big-time hit for Texas. The left fielder smacked a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 6-5. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"Just glad I could help us get a win," said O'Brien.
