White Sox Handle Chicago (N), Snag 4-2 Win
|
The Chicago (A) White Sox and Chicago (N) Cubs played an exciting game.
The Chicago (A) White Sox stymied the Chicago (N) Cubs, 4-2, at Wrigley Field. Johnny Moore had a good day at the plate. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double for Chicago (A). Bill Scherrer picked up the save for Chicago (A), his 11th of the year.
Davis Schneider, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 1999 draft, had a direct impact on the outcome. Schneider contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the fourth inning to put Chicago (A) up, 2-0.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Schneider said after the game.
The second-place White Sox are 40-27.
