Janzen Leads Minnesota Past New York (N)
Minnesota and New York (N) got after it at Metropolitan Stadium.

The Minnesota Twins got a marvelous performance from pitcher Marty Janzen. The right-hander kept the New York (N) offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 7-0 Minnesota victory at Metropolitan Stadium. The Twins move to 30-37 with the win, while the Mets drop to 47-19.

New York (N) had little success against Janzen and his curveball. Janzen tossed 93 pitches over 6.1 innings for the Twins.

"Marty's as tough as he is talented," said Minnesota manager Dan Hornbaker.
