The Philadelphia Phillies defeated the Boston Red Sox, 5-0, in National League action at Veterans Stadium. Willy Aybar pulled his weight. The 15-year veteran hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The winning streak has now reached 5 games for the Phillies.

Luis Rivas had a big run-scoring triple for the Phillies in the bottom of the third inning.
