The Arizona Diamondbacks rode a solid performance from 29-year-old starting pitcher Matt Young to a win, beating the Montreal Expos, 5-1, at Chase Field. The loss makes Montreal 34-25.

Tucupita Marcano, who is tied for 3rd in the NL in triples with 4, helped out the Arizona cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the shortstop was 3 for 3 with 3 singles.

"Matt was pounding the zone," said Arizona manager Alex Baxter.
