Texas picked up a win at Globe Life Field, bumping off the Seattle Mariners, 5-3. Pitcher Jesse Litsch was a major reason the Rangers emerged victorious. In 7.2 innings, Litsch surrendered 9 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 2. He allowed 3 runs. Felix Heredia earned the save for Texas, his 3rd of the year.
Luis Valbuena, who is rated as the 30th best prospect by BNN, chipped in a 2-run home run for Texas in the bottom of the first. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
