Texas Victorious, 5-4, Versus San Francisco
|
The Texas Rangers picked up a win at Globe Life Field, knocking off the San Francisco Giants, 5-4. Starting pitcher Hector Noesi was a big reason why. The winner was Noesi. He threw 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball. The loser was Scott Cassidy. Felix Heredia finished to wrap up his 12th save.
Joe Vosmik hit a run-scoring triple off Scott Cassidy in the bottom of the fourth, which put the Rangers in front, 3-2. Vosmik had 1 walk, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 3.
Vosmik said, "Whether you hit the ball hard, you walk, you have a long at-bat, 10 or 12 pitches, or you hit a homer, you're just trying to do anything you can do to help the team win."
Texas is now 21-32, San Francisco 25-28.
