The 5-3 St. Louis win over Baltimore was due largely to Byron Browne. The Cardinals designated hitter went 4-4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Browne hit a 2-run home run off Kevin Tapani. It propelled the Cardinals into the lead, 4-2.

"We've got guys willing to do what it takes to win," Browne told the St. Louis News.
