Guardians Absorb 6-4 Home Loss
|
In the 6-4 Minnesota win over Cleveland, the impact of Eddie Lake was substantial. Lake, who is tied for 4th in the AL in bases on balls with 25, was 2 for 4 with a home run and a triple, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The Guardians, at 21-27, have lost 4 in a row.
With Minnesota leading 2-1 in the top of the third, Lake hit a cutter from Zach Davies for a 2-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Twins ahead, 4-1.
Minnesota manager Dan Hornbaker was pleased with the team's effort. "It was just a good, gutsy performance by everybody," he said.
