The Arizona Diamondbacks got a stellar performance from pitcher Matt Young, who handcuffed the Colorado offense en route to a win, 4-2, at Coors Field. Dave Veres earned the save for Arizona, his 1st of the year. The loss has the Rockies at 2-3.

Arizona won the game in part because of Ron Hassey. The catcher ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Diamondbacks ahead, 4-2. For the game, Hassey had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

"If you chase it, you need to get it," said Arizona skipper Alex Baxter.
