Diamondbacks Walk It Off for 24th Win of Season
The Arizona Diamondbacks faced a tenacious opponent in Colorado pitcher Gerry Janeski, but still scratched out a win at Chase Field by a final score of 4-2 in 10 innings. Janeski went 8 innings and allowed 1 run. With the win, the Diamondbacks improved to 24-21.

The decisive blow was delivered by Jim Bottomley in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a 2-run home run off 27-year old left-handed pitcher Mike Matthews to win the game for Arizona. The home crowd went nuts.

"There's no quit in this team," said Diamondbacks manager Alex Baxter.
