Led by Taylor Trammell, the Minnesota Twins defeated the Boston Red Sox, 6-2. Trammell, a native of Powder Springs, Georgia, was 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 3 times for the Twins. The Red Sox, now 15-31, have lost 4 straight.
Minnesota second baseman Manny Trillo helped the Twins go up, 3-2, in the top of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Trillo hit a run-scoring single off Boston pitcher Jason Hammel.
