Rangers Lose, 4-2, at Miller County Field
|
The Milwaukee Brewers knocked off the Texas Rangers, 4-2, in American League action at Miller County Field. Milwaukee pitcher and Hollywood, Florida, native Mike Fiers had an outstanding performance. In 7 innings, Fiers surrendered 2 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 3. He allowed 2 runs. The win lifted the Milwaukee record to 24-20.
Second Baseman Orlando Miller made an impact for Milwaukee, when he swatted a run-scoring triple off Ken Chase in the bottom of the third. For the contest, Miller went 1-3 with a triple.
"I like what I saw today," said Milwaukee manager Mike Ejercito, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
