Cubs Handed 6-5 Loss by Houston
|
The Houston Astros knocked off the Chicago (N) Cubs, 6-5, at Minute Maid Park. Joe Orsulak was a big reason Houston won. The center fielder went 3-4 with 3 singles, while scoring 2 times. The save was credited to Blake Parker, his 13th. Houston's record now stands at 20-22, placing them 7th in the National League.
Larry Biittner, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 1998 draft, aided the Houston cause with a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the third. For the game, the designated hitter went 2 for 4 with a double.
"In this profession, you've got to put the good and the bad behind you quickly," Chicago (N) skipper Matt Ida said.
