The New York (N) Mets overcame a pretty good performance by Colorado catcher Johnny Edwards, beating the Rockies, 8-4, at Coors Field. Edwards went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. New York (N) has an impressive 32-8 record.

Making an impact for New York (N) was catcher Charlie Moore. He drilled a triple off Jim Golden in the top of the fourth. For the game, Moore went 1 for 3 with a triple and 2 walks. He scored 2 times.
