The Colorado Rockies powered past the New York (N) Mets, 11-7, at Coors Field. Kendrys Morales provided some of the pop. Monina was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. Colorado reliever Darrell Rasner picked up the win, raising his record to 2-0. Clay Carroll was tagged with the loss. With the win, Colorado upped its record to 21-19.

Morales contributed in the bottom of the fifth. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was one at-bat among others that helped Colorado get the win.

"You come to the ballpark to do your job and that's what I did today," Morales told the Colorado Daily.
