Giants Drop Astros, 8-4
|
The San Francisco Giants beat the Houston Astros, 8-4, at Minute Maid Park. The Giants got a fine performance from first baseman Joe Hauser, who went 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2. Ben Hendrickson picked up the win in relief. Cliff Lee took the loss for Houston. San Francisco now sits at 17-21, while Houston falls to 19-19.
Early in the game, Hauser had a run-scoring double for San Francisco. It was his 8th double of the season and put the Giants on top, 1-0.
"It's a good day to be a fan after a win like that," Hauser told the San Francisco Chronicle.
