Palmeiro Rips 2 Home Runs in 7-2 Expos Triumph
The Montreal Expos cut down the Miami Marlins by the score of 7-2, with the largest share of the credit going to right fielder Rafael Palmeiro. Palmeiro went 3-4 with 2 home runs and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Expos. The triumph puts Montreal at 19-15 for the season.

With Montreal trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Palmeiro hit a changeup from Steve McCatty for a 2-run home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Expos ahead, 2-1.
