Colorado Win Evens Series at 1

The Colorado Rockies took down the New York (N) Mets by the score of 4-1 and moved into a 1-1 tie in the League Championship Series. The largest share of the credit belongs to Colorado starter Brad Bergesen, who threw 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball.
The Rockies had to work out of trouble in the bottom of the ninth. The score was 4-1, Colorado , with one out. New York (N), with runners on 1st and 2nd, was mounting a threat. Jeff Kent dug in at the plate, but on a 2-2 splitter, he popped out.
The next game is set to be played for Wednesday, October 17th , 2001 at Coors Field in Denver.
