Minnesota Win to Pull Even With Chicago (A)
The Minnesota Twins and the Chicago (A) White Sox will take the Divisional Series to a decisive 7th game. Facing a must-win situation, the Twins shut out the White Sox, 7-0, at Comiskey Park to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Minnesota left-hander Brant Hurter did his part. He threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball.

Hurter was in the zone all game. He frustrated Chicago (A) hitters while giving the Twins 6 innings of quality work. Hurter threw 85 pitches, allowing 2 hits and getting 3 punchouts.

"We're one game closer to our goal," Minnesota manager Dan Hornbaker said later. "It isn't any more complicated than that."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Saturday, October 13th , 2001.
