Red Sox 6-2 Winners Over Baltimore
|
The Boston Red Sox picked up a win at Fenway Park, knocking off the Baltimore Orioles, 6-2. Starting pitcher Jason Hammel was a big reason why. Boston is now 13-21, while Baltimore is 15-15.
Kyle Farmer, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2001 draft, came through for Boston with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fourth. The third baseman went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and collected 2 RBI.
"We need to string a few more wins like this one together," said Farmer.
