Hee-seop Choi helped his team muscle past the Houston Astros, 7-5. In the game, the Milwaukee designated hitter went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Mike Fiers got the win, improving to 4-1. He worked 7.1 innings, giving up 2 runs on 8 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 1. Greg Bollo picked up the save, his 7th.
With Milwaukee leading 4-1 in the top of the fifth, Choi hit a changeup from Mike Oquist for a 3-run home run. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Brewers ahead, 7-1.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Milwaukee manager Mike Ejercito.
Now 12-17, the Astros have not played well this season.
